Cookie policy
Which cookies this website uses, what they do, and how to change your mind.
Last updated
Like most websites, this one uses cookies. This page explains what they are, which ones we use and why, and how to change your mind at any time. How we look after the information you give us is covered in our privacy policy.
What a cookie is
A cookie is a small file a website asks your browser to keep. When you open another page, your browser hands it back, which is how a site can tell the two visits are the same person. The same rules cover anything else that stores or reads data on your device, such as pixels and the tags inside a tag manager.
A cookie set by this website is called first-party. One set by another company through this website, such as Google, is third-party, and that company can read it on other sites you visit too. Each cookie below says which kind it is.
The cookies we use
Changing your mind
Only the essential cookies run until you say yes. Analytics and advertising scripts aren’t just switched off while you decide: they are never added to the page, so nothing is sent to Google or Meta and nothing is stored on your device.
You can change your choice at any time, and it takes no more clicks than agreeing did. Use Cookie settings at the foot of any page, or the button above. When you withdraw consent we delete the cookies we can and reload the page, so nothing carries on running.
Controlling cookies in your browser
Your browser has the final say, whatever you choose here. Every major browser lets you block or delete cookies, or refuse third-party cookies altogether. Blocking the essential ones will stop parts of this site working.
A cookie set on another company’s website can only be deleted by that company, or by you in your browser. When you withdraw consent we delete the cookies set on this website, but you’ll need to clear any third-party ones in your browser settings.
Your rights
Where a cookie lets us or a supplier single you out, the data behind it is personal data, and the UK GDPR gives you rights over it. You can ask us to:
- Tell you what we hold, with a copy of your personal data and what we do with it.
- Correct it, if anything we hold is wrong or incomplete.
- Delete it, in most circumstances, including whenever we relied on your consent.
- Stop using it, or restrict what we do with it.
- Send you a copy in a machine-readable form, or send it to someone else.
- Withdraw your consent at any time, without giving a reason. It doesn’t affect anything we did lawfully before.
To use any of these rights, write to us using the details below. We will reply within one month.
If you’re not happy with how we handle your request, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. You’re welcome to come to us first, but you don’t have to.

Changes to this policy
The list of cookies above is generated from the website’s own settings, so it changes the moment the site does. If we start using cookies for something new, we will ask everyone again rather than assume an old answer still stands.
